PRESPRINT Plc a company based in Limbe, South West Region announces the following job vacancy: SERVER AND SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR
Academic qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or any other related field
Certification
- LPIC-1. LPIC-2 would be an additional advantage
Work Experience
The candidate should have at least 2 years of significant work experience in Linux.
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the IT Manager, He/She will
- Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers running Linux
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery operations
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control
- Install and configure software, including web servers, databases, and applications
- Monitor server performance, activity logs for suspicious activities and troubleshoot issues to assure high availability of server resources
- Manage all resource performance and assure optimization, as well as respond to after-hours emergencies when needed
- Write and maintain documentation for servers and communicate them to management
- Plan and implement upgrades and changes to the server infrastructure
- Provide support for all applications and maintain an ideal level of customer service
